St Peter's Anglican Parish engaged Heritas to support the conservation of St Peter's Church, a landmark sandstone edifice designed in 1883 by Cyril Blacket and forming part of an ecclesiastical group of local and State heritage significance connected to the foundation years of one of Australia's oldest Anglican parishes. Building on our previously prepared Conservation Management Plan for the site, Heritas prepared the Section 60 application documentation for the removal and storage of selected timber pews, navigating the requirements of the NSW heritage approvals process to enable necessary works within this highly significant interior. A comprehensive photographic archival record of the church interior was also produced, ensuring the significance of this irreplaceable place is captured for future generations.
